Still on bed... I have completed my college just a week ago and ever
since then I've become even more lazy. Oops mum has started yelling at me,
it's Friday and I need to go to the temple. Mum is a person who always want me to go to the
temple and pray for better health and wealth, but, I prefer going to temple to look at some
girls out there. Its unfortunate that i passed out of boys school/men's college, so the only
place I could find girls is "temple" and it is great to see all homely
girls.
Hey..I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Siddharth, a fun loving guy, love to do
what my heart says and i never hurt anyone, this is how I describe myself
even on Facebook, another place where I could find girls. My father is a
businessman and now don't ask me what business he is into? I would never like to tell
that..hmmm!!
Mom entering into my room "Siddhu today is friday and I'm ready,
so get ready soon and just guess what?? Today is a special day for you as well"
Whoaa special? "what special ma? Someone's birthday? hold on, results are coming
only after a month rite??"
"get ready first, I will wait down"
We reached the temple. Oh God!! girls are looking great in their wet hair.
Mum is done with all her pooja and finally she broke the news, "dint dad tell you? Today you have an interview."
"What?, mum still results are not out and I havent prepared
anything for the interview" I got irritated to the core. (Parents evreytime have something readymade to irritate their children).
"you will surely pass and u finished your post graduation in MCA and still u want
to be at home? The company's HR is your father's friend and he has
already spoken to him"
"mum I wanna go for a IT kind of a job!"
"It is IT only, just attend the interview"
Now I've got a new fear to crack the interview but mum is highly
positive because dad spoke with the HR.
Dad gave me the HR's business card and wished me good luck, I didn't react as i was least bothered.
The company is not so far from our house, maximum 30 minutes
travel. It is in a IT park having many companies within. Finally reached and received the visitor
Identity card to enter further.
The security directed me to the company, though found my way bit confusing. It is a 10 story-building full of glass and mostly eco-friendly around. I loved it all the more as there were so many girls looking really cute. God!! how could people ever work when such cuties sit around us man!!... I just controlled myself (Siddhu these
girls should be elder to you :P)
The company is in the 7th floor-phase II.
There are almost 15 people waiting for the interview, then I came to know
that, this interview process is under their company referral program.
Almost 8 girls have come for this interview but I am trying hard to concentrate on recollecting
the things which I prepared for the interview.
"Siddharth" someone called me as i am next for the interview.
Interview panel consisted of two people. First person asked me about OOPS (concept), I just recollected those
definitions. Then he switched questions to software development life
cycle. He asked about UML diagrams, I explained what I knew. Suddenly
he gave me a sheet and asked me to do a use-case diagram for the things in
that room. Oops this time not concept, my first wicket gone, I'm not
able to do that. I got a fear, started sweating in that A/C room.
Suddenly HR asked about myself and he just asked few more questions
like why you choose this company? How do you imagine yourself 5 years from now? How
many years you are ready to work with us? Finally he said I can leave
they will contact me and update the status.
Returned the company's id card and left. I went to the food court of that IT
park had my favorite double cheese pizza. I just updated mum over a
call. Later I left to home.
After few days a I got a call from a landline number, I was wondering who could it be.. cos all my friends use mobile phones and i hardly get calls from landlines.
I picked the call, the girl asked, is it siddharth? Yes, i said.
"you got selected in iforce, she added."
I just couldnt believe it myself. She guided me on the offer letter, acceptance, documentation and some joining formalities.
I went down and informed mum, she is damn happy to see her son get a job.
I was about to update on Fb then my heart said, just wait a while dude, don't
over react, will do it after joining.
Hmmm, just another week to go and I will be joining the company, thrilled, excited and yeah keeping fingers crossed....
